Follow these steps and you're on your way to saving money!

Alright, so...I feel like I've been getting ahead of myself. I forget that all of my readers are beginners. So, I apologize! This blog is a very short step by step guide to get you started on your couponing adventure.  If you are serious about clipping coupons, I feel like these steps are EXTREMELY NECESSARY!!

Step 1: You need to purchase a coupon organizer.  If you are serious about this, you need to get organized to make this an easier process. If your coupons aren't organized into categories; frozen, dairy, snacks, canned, health and beauty, cleaners, etc ((these are just example categories. You can choose whichever are more convenient for you!)), then your shopping adventure will be chaotic and horrible. You will want to give up. You will miss or misplace coupons. This is a very important step, please do not skip it.  I have recently just purchased a new organizer ((last week actually)) from Target in the dollar bin, for only $1!! It's not perfect, but it'll do for now. It has 7 slots for coupons and comes with the stickers to label them.  You can get a nicer one that looks more like a wallet if you are willing to spend $10-$20 on one.

Step 2:  You also need to purchase a small notebook to use as your grocery list notebook. This is another very important step, because like I had stated in Step 1, you need to be organized! This can be an old notebook that you don't use anymore, or the dollar store has them for only $1. I recommend it being small enough to store in your purse or your pocket.

Step 3:  Also, subscribing to the Flint Journal is important. Unless you just pick it up every Sunday...You can get just the Sunday paper, or you can also get the Thursday and Friday paper... I'm pretty sure it's the same price for just getting the Sunday paper as it is to get the Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. So, whichever you'd rather do. I get all 3 and I only pay $10.89 a month for it to be delivered and at my door before I'm even awake.  My Sunday routine:  My husband reading the paper while I'm clipping coupons and browsing through the ads with a pot of coffee <33

If you have ANY questions about ANYTHING, PLEASE do not hesitate to ask. You can contact me via email: couponchickblog@gmail.com, on my CouponChick facebook page, or by simply leaving a comment under this blog.  I REALLY REALLY REALLY want everyone to understand this stuff. After all, I'm doing this for all of you.
